Victoria I. Vovk, born in 1979 , Ph. D., Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology , Neurology and Medical Psychology at School of Medicine of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

In 2002 Victoria graduated from Kharkov State Medical University with Specialist’s degree in Medical care, then in 2002 – 2003 she took the internship program, in 2003 – 2005 studied Psychiatrics in the clinical residency, and in 2005 – 2011 took the postgraduate course in the Department of Psychiatry at Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. In 2011-2012 she worked in this Department as an assistant.

In 2008 she passed Ph.D. defense with the following thesis: “Clinically-psychopatological and pathopsychological disorders in patients with HIV infection and psychocorrection.”

In 2009 she was awarded the Doctor of Medicine degree in Medical Psychology.

Victoria worked as a psychiatrist in Kharkiv Regional Psychiatric Hospital № 1, Kharkiv Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital № 3, in the Social and Preventive Services at Kharkiv Regional Center of Family, Children and Youth Social Services, and in the Kharkov Military Medical Center of the North region.

As the Chief Psychiatrist, she gained the competences in psychiatry, clinical psychology, and psychotherapy. She is also the author of 19 printed articles, including a monograph.

The main areas of professional activity are psychiatry, general and clinical psychology, and psychotherapy.
