Merkulova Olga Yurievna, born in 1964, PhD, Associate Professor of Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, Neurology and Medical Psychology, Medical Faculty of Karazin Kharkiv National University.

I`m graduated the Kharkov Medical Institute, medical faculty with distinction in 1988. I`m graduate the internship on neurology in the Central Clinical Hospital №5 of the Ministry Railways former USSR, 1989. During 1989-1991. work as a doctor-neurologist of department of neurology №3 the Central Clinical Hospital №5 Ministry Railways. During 1991-1995. study in residency of neurology in department of general and children neurology the Kharkov Advanced Training Institute for Doctors, Ukraine.

In 1994 defended PhD thesis in neurology on topic: «Complex treatment of remote consequences of closed craniocerebral trauma with leading vegeto-vessel dystonia syndrome with using biofeedback».

Since 1997 to present time have been teaching neurology course for students medical faculty Kharkov`s V.N. Karazin State University(Ukraine). Since 2012 – present time have been working as associate professor V.N. Karazin State University, medical faculty, Kharkov, Ukraine.

Merkulova O.Yu. is author 41 printed articles, 8 methodic recommendations, 1 rationalization proposition. The member of Kharkov medical association of neurologist and Ukrainian Anthiepileptic Ligue (UPEL). I`m attended Salzburg (Austria) Weill Cornell seminar in neurology (1997, 2006), congress EFNS (Seville, 1998). Successfully completed an observership in neurology the American Austrian Foundation and the department of clinical neurology at the medical university-general hospital Vienna, 2009.

Professional interests: study of questions of diagnostic, clinic peculiarities, treatment the patients with vegeto-vessel dystonia syndrome, inflammation and demyelinization diseases of nervous system, consequences of craniocerebral trauma, epilepsy and other paroxysmal condition, cerebral-vascular pathology.
